Abstract

During the Neolithic, agriculture and the domestication of animals used in agricultural fields allowed food production and population to increase. As the years passed, the villagers saw the need to acquire tools for harvesting food, thus making it easier for them to acquire the products. Over time, agricultural techniques such as crop rotation, marketing, irrigation systems and the use of agricultural terraces were developed. In Ecuador, agriculture has been gradually modernized since 2000, with the use of combines and land implements such as tractors, improving productivity. Furthermore, the implementation of irrigation systems and agricultural terraces has optimized the use of water and land, contributing to more sustainable agricultural production, especially in mountainous areas, allowing spaces for crops for daily consumption by the community. Nowadays, technology was advancing for agricultural societies, thus making it easier for them to obtain their products and at the time of starting to prepare the harvest site.
